On sid, I'm not even able to access the GUI settings screen: the GUI logo goes 
all blurry and pixelated and nothing happens. Do you have a similar behavior ?

There's a possibility that this behavior is due to current perl 5.18 
transition. So I'm going to wait until the dust settles before digging deeper 
for this bug.
