I fail to see how a fix in upstream youtube-dl helps for
libwww-youtube-download-perl. At least I'm suspicous that a python
patch would apply to perl code :)

Looking at the upstream issues,
https://github.com/xaicron/p5-www-youtube-download/issues/27
looks quite similar. Maybe the patch(es) there would be enough:
