Hi there,

at first, I am sorry this was not handled earlier. Bugs with working
reproducers (like yours) are much easier to handle and therefore
deserve priority.

However, it's not easy to fix since parsechangelog has no code to
handle relative version number comparison, something required to
make your use case working as expected. This is upstream's job but
upstream is more or less dead.

For the time being I've documented the behaviour in the manpage of
libparse-debianchangelog-perl 1.2.0-12 - that's not a solution but
at least provides a warning to other people.
