For the record, and just in case it matters, the host where we were
able to reproduce this more or less easily was a single-CPU virtual
machine inside a quad-core of:

model name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz

(This apparently sets the speed bar to reproduce the problem).
