Hi gregor.
You are right. I'm so sorry, I checked a lot before submitting but forgot to check in which version the method was introduced. I believed this was a bug.
Binding to an exchange is important. It seems that declare_exchange with old version does so by itself.
Regarding the testing packages... I will check this. Maybe I can rely on this too.
