Sorry. My fault. I was also "firewalling access to the hostname",
so to speak, by having the wrong "public" IP in /etc/hosts associated
to the hostname...

This was a misconfiguration on my side, but I'm very glad that you
were able to reproduce it in more "normal" circusmtances, so I'm
keeping the bug open with normal severity.
