I don't know how central Yahoo Finance is for Gnucash - it's just one of
Finance::Quote's many modules, and Gnucash in Debian doesn't seem to
have a bug report about it. However the Gnucash mailing list that Tom
linked to seems to have quite some discussion about finance-quote in
November. (CC'ing the Gnucash maintainer to hear if he has an opinion
about this?)

I think the interesting bit is the addition of AlphaVantage as a data
provider. This can be done like this:

but I'd suggest using the current version of AlphaVantage.pm from 1.45
and perhaps leaving out the test as it won't run without setting
ONLINE_TEST and an API key.

Another data provider that doesn't seem to work any more is ASX, but the
fix (included in 1.45) is somewhat more messy:
