It works if I try in a machine with more RAM.

Explanation:

Since I'm poor but want to test as many packages as I can with the
money I spend on virtual machines, I try to keep track of the memory
required for each package by monitoring Committed_AS in /proc/meminfo
during the build. That way I can build small packages with small
machines (which are cheaper) and big packages with big machines.

This procedure works most of the time, but not always. When it does
not work I have an "override" to force more memory even if the
historical data indicate that it does not need as much.
