mimeopen as an alternative to /usr/bin/open ?

Dear libfile-mimeinfo-perl maintainers,

I just would like to mention that the /usr/bin/open command is back in
Debian for opening files, and is installed using the alternatives
system, pointing to `xdg-open` (priority 50), or `run-mailcap` (priority
30).  I was wondering if you would be interested to register `mimeopen`
as a third alternative?
