First of all thanks for your bug report.
I had a look at this repository, but as far as I can see, you mixed up
the packages here. The perl modules, that are build from
https://github.com/net-snmp/net-snmp are packaged as libsnmp-perl:
Package: libsnmp-perl
Source: net-snmp (5.9+dfsg-3)
Version: 5.9+dfsg-3+b1
Installed-Size: 2158
Maintainer: Net-SNMP Packaging Team <pkg-net-snmp-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org>
Architecture: amd64
Replaces: libsnmp-dev (= 5.9+dfsg-1)
Depends: perl (>= 5.32.0-4), perlapi-5.32.0, libc6 (>= 2.15), libnetsnmptrapd40 (>= 5.9+dfsg), libsnmp40 (>= 5.9+dfsg)
Breaks: libsnmp-dev (= 5.9+dfsg-1)
Description-en: SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) Perl5 support
The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) provides a framework
for the exchange of management information between agents (servers)
and clients.
.
The Net-SNMP Perl5 support files provide the Perl functions for
integration of SNMP into applications written in Perl.

This package contains the perl Modules SNMP and NetSNMP::*.
It is hosted on Sourceforge https://net-snmp.sourceforge.io/ and this
page refers to their github repository
http://github.com/net-snmp/net-snmp/
It is independent from the libnet-snmp-perl package, which contains the
perl module Net::SNMP:
Package: libnet-snmp-perl
Version: 6.0.1-6
Installed-Size: 430
Maintainer: Debian Perl Group <pkg-perl-maintainers at lists.alioth.debian.org>
Architecture: all
Depends: perl:any
Suggests: libcrypt-des-perl, libdigest-hmac-perl, libio-socket-inet6-perl
Description-en: Script SNMP connections
The module Net::SNMP implements an object oriented interface to
the Simple Network Management Protocol. Perl applications can
use the module to retrieve or update information on a remote
host using the SNMP protocol. Net::SNMP is implemented completely
in Perl, requires no compiling, and uses only standard Perl
modules. SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c (Community-Based SNMPv2), as well as
SNMPv3 with USM are supported by the module. SNMP over UDP as well
as TCP with both IPv4 and IPv6 can be used. The Net::SNMP module
assumes that the user has a basic understanding of the Simple
Network Management Protocol and related network management concepts.

It still has its homepage on CPAN, has a different upstream maintainer
and is still in version 6.0.1 (since SEP-09-2010) and has no git
repository available.
So from my point of view, we should close your bug report...
Greetings
Roland
