Unfortunately the full upstream wxWidgets version is encoded in
libalien-wxwidgets-perl's "Provides:":
Provides: wxperl-gtk-3-2-1-uni-gcc-3-4
I don't know how easy that would be to change, but this probably isn't
an appropriate phase of the release cycle to try messing with this.

There was a note in README.source for wxwidgets3.0 which said:
After new upstream versions of this package are uploaded, you need to
ask the release team to binnmu libalien-wxwidgets-perl, and then
libwx-perl.
That's very likely still the case for wxwidgets3.2 (and probably we
should record this important detail in README.source there too...)
