have you had a look at the changelog for these updates?

Looking up your error message in Google ("Enforcing SSL encryption is
not supported") turns up

Do you use the "mysql_ssl_verify_server_cert=1" connection option? Have
you tried setting "mysql_ssl_optional=1"?
