Source: libuser-perl
Version: 1.9-1.2
Severity: important

Hi Don,

As you might have realised I try to migrate Perl packages into team
maintenance of the Perl Group. I perfectly know that development of
libuser-perl is probably finalised from an upstream point of view. Thus
the Debian maintenance is not a big effort. However, the package has
seen two NMUs meanwhile and I see some profit if having those packages
consistently maintained in Git. Having it inside the Perl team which is
using sophisticated tooling to do large scale upgrades of packages is
IMHO helpful to reduce the maintenance effort to a bare minimum.

That's why I prepared a repository inside the team on Salsa[1] for your
kind inspection. It meets current packaging standards of the Perl team
and passes all tests.

I hope you agree to the team maintenance. While I perfectly know you
are active in Debian (thank you for all your work for the BTS) I can
perfectly understand if you are not able to answer this mail. Thus I
would like to follow the Package Salvaging procedure outlined in the
Developers Reference[2] and will upload to delayed=10 after the waiting
period of 21 days.

Kind regards
    Andreas.
