Package: libscalar-list-utils-perl
Version: 1:1.63-1
Severity: important
Tags: forky sid
User: debian-perl at lists.debian.org
Usertags: perl-5.42-transition

The modules contained in this package are older than the versions bundled
with Perl 5.42 (currently in experimental.) They should not be installed
together, as the older separate versions would then override the newer
ones bundled with Perl. This is reflected in the dependency metadata on
the perl side:

  perl-base:amd64=5.42.0-2 Breaks libscalar-list-utils-perl (< 1:1.68.01)

The package therefore needs to be either updated to a newer version or
removed from testing before perl can migrate to testing.

This is not very urgent, but can be easily and usefully solved right away,
as CPAN has an even newer version available.

 Perl 5.40: 1.63
 Perl 5.42: 1.68_01
 CPAN: 1.70

If you want to test changes against Perl 5.42 in experimental and run
into uninstallability problems, there is a test repository of rebuilt
Debian sid packages for amd64 available at <https://perl.debian.net/>.
