Package: libversion-perl
Version: 1:0.9930-1
Severity: important

The module contained in this package is older than the version bundled
with Perl 5.42 (currently in experimental.) They should not be installed
together, as the older separate version would then override the newer
one bundled with Perl. This is reflected in the dependency metadata on
the perl side:
perl-modules-5.42:amd64 Breaks libversion-perl (< 1:0.9933)
The package therefore needs to be either updated to a newer version or
removed from testing before perl can migrate to testing.
This is not very urgent as the perl 5.42 package Provides: libversion-perl
(= 1:0.9933) satisfying any dependencies. I'm still filing a bug to
track it now.
CPAN currently has the same version available as the one bundled with
Perl 5.42.
Perl 5.40: 0.9930
Perl 5.42: 0.9933
CPAN: 0.9933
If you want to test changes against Perl 5.42 in experimental and run
into uninstallability problems, there is a test repository of rebuilt
Debian sid packages for amd64 available at <https://perl.debian.net/>.
