Bjarni,
there are 3 mails from you in the moderation queue of the
pkg-perl-maintainers at alioth-lists.debian.net list (the address listed
as Maintainer of packages maintained by the Debian Perl Group).
I've now rejected them, and I want to explain why:
The mails start with:
#v+
Additional remarks.
Mails from me to "submit at bugs.debian.org" are no longer acknowledged. A
Debian maintainer told me, that he would contact the mail administrator
about me not wanting to send bugs upstream.
#v-
JFTR: It was not me who contacted owner at bugs.debian.org, although I
mentioned this option in the past (but not for "not wanting to send
bugs upstream").
Still I agree with the decision but for a different reason; me and
others have told you times and again that your bug reports about man
pages in Perl modules are not actionable: There are no manages in the
source, as they are created by pod2man at build time; there's nothing
to apply your patches against -- neither in Debian nor upstream. So
all these bug reports are unactionable and me and others have asked
you to stop them. They just waste everybody's (including yours) time.
You didn't stop.
And now you are sending the same "bug reports" to the maintainer
address. IMO this trial to circumvent the ban in the BTS is impolite
-- to put it mildly -- but apart from that, the
bug-report-turned-emails are still not actionable. Approving them
would only cause noise in the mailboxes of all subscribers.
That's why I've rejected them, and I ask you to stop sending these
kind of mails.
(If other Debian Perl Group members or moderators of
pkg-perl-maintainers at alioth-lists.debian.net don't agree I'm open to
discuss my decision of course.)
Cheers,
gregor
