I was fearing you couldn't reproduce it given reproducible cannot. At
some point, I tried ruling out the environment (that already is much
sanitized by sbuild) and discovered LANGUAGE. For some reason my build
environment passed C there, which is not a sensible value. I guess
nobody ever does that.

Not sure whether it is worth fixing this in any way or just closing the
bug.
