This fails on sid as well now that GCC-16 is the default.

It seems to be an optimization issue. It works for me on sid/amd64
with DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=noopt, and also with the attached targeted lower
optimization level.

This is at best a workaround of course. I didn't get further yet, happy
if somebody else wants to pick this up.
