Hello,
it basically works for me, but the autopano patch is broken.
with the patch File->Preferences->Autopan looks like this:
---------------------------------------
Select Autopane: [autopano-sift]
Autopano-Sift
Autopano-Sift: [autopano]
Arguments: [--maxmatches %p %o %i]
[...]
---------------------------------------
This does not work. The arguments "--maxmatches %p %o %i" do not work
with the autopano executables in either autopano-sift or
autopano-sift-c.
Without the patch File->Preferences->Autopan looks like this:
---------------------------------------
Select Autopane: [autopano-sift]
Autopano-Sift
Autopano-Sift: [autopano-sift-c]
Arguments: [--maxmatches %p %o %i]
[...]
---------------------------------------
which does work with the autopano-sift-c executable in
autopano-sift-c. So please drop 50_more_generic_autopano_binary, it
breaks stuff instead of fixing. The autopano executables need
different commandlines. (No idea which, sorry.)
FWIW I see that with the original ubuntu patch I would end up with hugin
trying to execute "autopano-sift" which is also broken. Neither
autopano-sift nor autopano-sift-c contain a executable with that name.
http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/all/autopano-sift/filelist
After reading
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hugin/+bug/162575 it looks
like the correct way to invoke autopano-sift is
autopano-complete --points %p -o %o %i
*However* this would not solve the problem, autopano-sift-c does not
contains a executable named autopano-complete.
Since Debian does not contain either autopano-sift-c or autopano-sift
and unpatched upstream works with autopano-sift-c I suggest to simply
stay with upstream. Ubuntu is in a different boat, they ship
autopano-sift but not -c. (I guess just for historic reasons. -c, is
faster for me and does not depend on mono runtime.)
Reagrding #405862, I claim that it is not even present in
0.7.0~svn3191+beta5-2. - Without old broken ~/.hugin hugin will
correctly execute autopano-sift-c. [Load Defaults] on old broken
configuration will fix stuff.
