Personally, I don't care much for PDFs but I'd definitely like to keep
the info pages.

That's fine with me. The point of that was to have a "complete" patch,
i.e. remove all traces of win32helpers, i.e. "beautification" of the
patch ;-)

I've explicitly enabled "GPU support" -- according to the upstream
README, there is a command-line switch for that and X11 as well as the
hardware has to provide certain features in order to have it actually
enabled at run-time, so this should not cause any problems, I hope.

Also, the new upstream release adds support for OpenMP, which sounds
kinda interesting to me. Anyway, as far as I understand the upstream
README, this does not seem to be optional at run-time. What do you guys
think about providing additional -openmp binaries?
