Hugin offers to create JPG, PNG, TIF and EXR files. However, JPG and PNG don't work (didn't try EXR).

A similar error appears when stiching a png.

According to 
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2314967&group_id=77506&atid=550441
this is caused by enblend lacking jpeg and png support.
