By the way, when will it be released in Debian? Do you think it will
happen before Ubuntu Feature Freeze, on the 27th of August? If not, I'll
upload it directly to Ubuntu and sync again after the Debian package (or
help here :-) ).

I had exactly the same idea, and this is the way I was going to
implement it for Ubuntu.
