[Pkg-phototools-devel] gphoto2 permission problem?

Running testing on i386: gphoto2 has just started failing with

Could not claim interface 0 (Operation not permitted).

when run by an ordinary user, but is ok when run as root. I suspected a
udev problem, but  udevadm monitor did not show any udev events when the 
camera was connected and switched on.

This is just a preliminary enquiry to ask if this is a known problem 
about to be fixed, or do I need to dig deeper? I checked earlier for 
bugs against gphoto or udev for this: no hits.

I have debugged and fixed udev problems before, but sufficiently long 
ago that I need to research again how the udev system works. Unless I am 
barking up the wrong tree...

I am not sure when I last ran gphoto2 without problems, but it was at 
most a month ago.
