not exactly. It's been more than one year. :p

Anyway, I asked for help several times on the mailing list, but nobody
picked it up. Gürkan Sengün proposed his help and prepared some
packages, but I'm not sure what the status is. Axel Beckert was giving
him a hand IIRC.

For the record, I've got the whole X stack to keep me busy. The
libgphoto2 package is (supposed to be easily) team-maintained. So
anyone can upload a fix package, at any time. And NMUs are welcome as
well, of course. (No prior notice needed.)
