Version 0.9.3-2 of darktable is not currently present in any version of
Debian.  Can you duplicate your problem with 1.0 or 1.0.3? What version
are you upgrading from?

Now some background info, that you might already know:

In general only bugs that can duplicated in versions present in
Debian should be reported to Debian. It may be that you should report
you problem to the bug tracking system of some derivative (e.g. Ubuntu),

If possible please use the reportbug to report Debian bugs, since it
will include important information like what version of sqlite is
installed.
