I've re-attached the image, so there is a copy in the BTS.

Can you report your problems sending mail to the bug (with as much
information as possible, including dates, times, message id's) to 
owner at bugs.debian.org?

About the actual bug, I didn't manage to duplicate it so far. 
I chose the Unity theme in gtk, but I'm running i3 at the moment. 
I'll try xfce4 later.

Upstream asks:

    ~/.config/darktable or /usr/share/darktable ?

I guess ~/.config/darktable is more likely to be a problem.
