[Pkg-phototools-devel] Change to alioth-lists held message default policy

Hi all,

I'm writing to you as the owner of one or more mailing lists hosted on
alioth-lists.debian.net.

As part of a housekeeping mission, and to reduce the number of
moderation requests we send out which then get filtered as spam, we
will change the maximum number of days to hold moderated messages to
180 days if no shorter time has been set. I'm emailing everyone for whom
this policy would result in the immediate deletion of one or more
messages from the moderation/held queue.

The change will be made in one week, so please take the time to check
your moderation queue before then if you have an interest in such old
held messages.

It's worth noting that six months is still a very long time, and you are
encouraged to choose a short default time period. This time period may 
be reduced centrally in the future, depending on operational requirements.

Either way, please do check/respond to moderation requests promptly
if possible; that makes the service more useful to everyone.
