Let me guess: the problem is with libsdl2-dev, which is uninstallable
because of some version conflicts. It should be fixed now (see #897437).

It would be great if you could build the package from source and try to
reproduce the issue. If the bug is still there, try compiling from the
upstream source tree. If the bug is still there, try compiling the
latest git head from upstream.

This information will allow us to understand if this is an upstream bug
or something specific to the Debian package.
