[Pkg-phototools-devel] Bug#1019054: darktable: Darktable does not save Metadata in exported jpgs anymore, even author/copyright entries are gone!

   * What led up to the situation?

Something must have changed in the global settings.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I tried to find the settings for saving all metadata, but was not successful.
The metadata editor offers only entries for adding copyright, but the
information is not saved in the jpgs. I also went to the wheel for global
settings. It mentions only rights, but none of the other metadata, such as
camera model, aperture and exposure time. Also it is not possible to change the
available rights settings.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

It was not succesful. The Exif-field still is completely empty except for "300
dpi".

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

In oldstable, darktable saved all metadata upon export, even temperature of the
camera body etc. I expect those data either not to be lost, so I can choose
which ones to delete/maintain with help of exiftool or that the metadata editor
offers the major spectrum of entries concerning camera settings including
copyright.
And for sure I expect this editor to work. Unlike the current situation.
Actually, I have to load all exported jpgs into gimp to add a copyright/author
entry.
