Slightly.  Some people have spent time in fixing recent bugs an I've
just uploaded a fixed package (which was cheap).  The fact alone that
something is orphaned upstream is IMHO not sufficient.

Since the package is used in some scientific application I would
prefer if it lasts until there might be some harder issue noone
is willing to fix.
