Try not installing optional dependencies.  For me:

# apt install fgallery
[...]
Download size: 378 MB
Space needed: 1625 MB
Continue? [Y/n] n
Abort.
# apt install --no-install-recommends fgallery
[...]
Download size: 37.2 MB
Space needed: 159 MB

Those are transitive dependencies.
