[pkg-php-pear] Packaging Net:NNTP

Hi all,

I've (trivially) packaged the Net:NNTP Pear library, which is needed for a
webapp I'm working on packaging. Packaging was done using make-php-pear
and tweaking debian/control and debian/changelog a bit. What is the proper
way to get this into Debian? I'm a Debian Maintainer (not Developer) some
some experience in packaging Java libraries (Lucene) and web applications.
My Alioth account name is janpascal-guest. Should I ask for access to the
pkg-php team and create a pkg-php/php-net-nntp git repository, upload the
package there and ask for one of you to review it?
