Surprisingly, this only works in SID, it didn't on my Squeeze laptop.

When I work on the PEAR packaging, I always first do it in my laptop,
then try to build on my SID build box, check everything works as
expected (checking with mc that files are on the expected folders,
installing the package, often running the tests provided by the package).

I really didn't expect that pear would act differently, but it seems it
does.

Thanks for taking the time to check on it, I've uploaded the package
without my package.xml patch. I'll continue working on updating the
other PEAR packages I maintain in the archive.
