Uploaded (using whatever was in the Git). I also changed the build
branches in debian/gbp.conf.

Don't you think we should add your README.Debian in the current Wheezy
version? I read it, and found it mandatory! :) It's allowed to add docs
and ask for a freeze exception to the release team. I'm not sure if
uploading your dm-allowed-upload flag to experimental enabled you to
upload a more recent release to SID. Maybe it's worth trying? ;)

Do you know how to ask for an unblock?
