This looks like the "process isolation broken" issue (see bts #744876,
msg #159 [1]). I run into that issue while testing src:symfony with
phpunit 4.2.6-1. It already is fixed [2] in master/4.2.6-2. Can you
build the unreleased phpunit 4.2.6-2 from master and check again with
this version?

Sorry for neither opening a separate bug report nor mentioning the
actual php error message anywhere.
