[pkg-php-pear] Are dtc and extplorer useful in Debian?

Hi Thomas,

dtc and extplorer are (multi-)RC-buggy, not part of Jessie (dtc is even
not part of unstable, and has only be shipped with Lenny IIUC). They
have not been updated in years (except security fixes for extplorer in
{old,}stable), they don’t even look active upstream according to a quick
look at their websites.

Is there any reason to keep them in the Debian archive?

I’m currently trying to get rid of unmaintained PEAR packages (e.g.,
php-compat to name only one), and those two package come in the way of
this clean up.

Thanks in advance for your reply, I intend to follow up with removal
request in a few months if nobody objects (but feel free to beat me to
it).
