Updated information: ownCloud 8 (currently in experimental) uses version
2.1 (provided by php-sabre-dav-2.1) and ownCloud 9 (scheduled next month
according to upstream) will use at least version 3.0.
According to the Horde VCS, Horde_Dav is ready to use version 2.1 for
ten months:
https://github.com/horde/horde/tree/master/framework/Dav/bundle
Do you have any input about when upstream Horde will release a Horde_Dav
version actually using a recent php-sabre-dav, and any idea when it will
make it in Debian?

Before (thinking about) introducing a php-sabre-dav-3 package, I’d like
to know if php-horde-dav would be able to use php-sabre-dav-2.1 in the
next future (within a few months). I’m happy to help in the transition
from the current (in unstable/testing) php-sabre-dav to
php-sabre-dav-2.1 if needed (should be as simple as requiring
sabre21/Sabre/autoload.php instead of Sabre/autoload.php, but feel free
to ask if that’s not enough).
Regards
David
