Have you already made any progress on this? The latest ownCloud (9) is
using version 2.8 (not sure it really needs it, but still), so I’d like
to have it in the archive, at least for testing purposes. If you haven’t
started yet, I may have a look at it (maybe once I’m done preparing the
owncloud 9.0 beta package), otherwise, feel free to upload a wip branch
so we can share things.
