Thinking about it, we should stay with the Composer naming scheme: I bet
there are quite a lot of applications out there, that simply depend on
"symfony/symfony" in composer.json rather than the actual components
really needed. If such an application is wanted in Debian a php-symfony
could make it easier.

Great. I don not think there is much potential for conflicts, either.

BTW.: You might want to move parts of the bash in d/rules to one or more
independent files called from d/rules. This might make things easier to
implement (and maybe even maintain in future).
