  Hi,

I would like to know the status of libphp-phpmailer.

Currently, 5.2.14+dfsg-2.3 is in Debian (stable, testing and sid).
According to the Debian tracker website, libphp-phpmailer seams to
be maintained under the php pear team with David Prévot having made
most of the last uploads.
However, the git does not seem to have been moved to salsa.
And nobody answered to #905254 which ask for a new upstream version
upload in order to fix a CVE in another package (ocsinventory).

Looking at upstream, 6.X versions of libphp-phpmailer require
a adaptation of source code:

## Upgrading from 5.2
The biggest changes are that source files are now in the `src/` folder, and PHPMailer now declares the namespace `PHPMailer\PHPMailer`. This has several important effects – [read the upgrade guide](https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/tree/master/UPGRADING.md) for more details.

  My questions are:
- is libphp-phpmailer still maintainer under the php pear team ?
  (I hope so)
- does someone plan to do the migration to 6.X versions of
  libphp-phpmailer before buster freeze?
According to apt-cache, there are 3 rdepends: tt-rss, wordpress,
  and cacti.

  Regards,
    Vincent
