Hi,

when realising that the PHP team considers the package "Useless in
Debian" (low popcon leaf package) and upstream writes[1]

  This package is not maintained, if you would like to take over please go to ...

I consider it a good idea to remove it from Debian.  Someone who might
need this package once it has found a new maintainer upstream can easily
re-introduce it.
