Seeing "Useless in Debian" bugs being filed I thought that such PHP
modules were either absorbed in PHP core, or found to be incompatible
with Debian (such as Windows or OSX-specific modules). However,
php-text-password has a reverse dependency and popcon of >100. Thus I
would disagree it is useless.
Moreover, it would be nice to have some evidence for claim that this
package is not working anymore. The package builds successfully and it
worked last time I checked (although I use its reverse dependency
php-text-captcha).
I use this package in my $DAYJOB, thus I would prefer to keep it in
Debian, unless there are strong reasons against it. I agree that there
is no upstream activity for a few years, but this is a rather simple
package and it still builds and works (with patches).
Best wishes,
Andrius
