There is the two years old PR shaarli/Shaarli#1972 on Github [1] for 
upgrading Shaarli to Slim 4.  It seems to be stuck although it seems to 
have worked quite well.  I also don't know how much work it would be to 
adapt it to Shaarli's new version 0.15.  It might perhaps serve as a 
patch though.
