[Pkg-postgresql-public] Bug#632458: Cannot purge completely postgresql-8.4 while postgresql-9.0 process is running

I tried this with installing postgresql-9.1 and -9.2, and successfully
purged postgresql-9.1 with a running 9.2 cluster. So I cannot
reproduce this, and I don't see an obvious place in
postgresql-common's code which would cause this. Do you have a way to
reproduce this?
