[Pkg-postgresql-public] Packaging of pldebugger

Is there any way that the pldebugger module can be packaged for Debian?

It was the edg-debugger on pgfoundry, but it now seems to have moved to
http://git.postgresql.org/gitweb/?p=pldebugger.git

I think it is included with the Windows installer, and maybe with the
EnterpriseDb and OpenSCG Linux packages, but I can’t see an easy way to
install it in a .deb environment.

I want to use the debugger in development, but our production servers
are using the Ubuntu-packaged postgresql and won’t be changed.

I'm a database/application developer, rather than a sysadmin, so I don't
know where to start with packaging it myself. However, I can help given
some direction, e.g. research, testing and/or learning packaging.

Regards

Roger
