Ping on this -- i see that postgresql-common was updated to 191
recently, but this patch didn't make it in.  fwiw, i'm actively using it
and it's very convenient for me.  I'd really like to let projects like
https://gitlab.com/certaind/certaind depend on something like this.

Any chance it could make it into 192?  If something is missing from it,
please let me know!
