[Pkg-privacy-maintainers] Status of libotr and pidgin-otr

Hey,

the git repos of libotr and pidgin-otr are not functioning since Feb '24 [1].
Also the bugtracker is not working. How to file a bug or bring patches 
upstream?
Shipping a retired software is not great especially for software around 
privacy ;)

Do we need to take over ownership for these packages or remove them from 
Debian? Are we able to provide security patches if needed?
