Hey,

meanwhile the behavior is different, with cuurent plasma at sid. Now the 
applet is visible again, but I can't interact with the applet. The bug is now 
reported for kde at ([362556]). The developer actually suggest to switch to 
the updated SNI specification [1], to get rid of the problem from the 
application side.
