Yep, I had to read up on that there as well :)

So... it looks like they haven't been merged due to some unexplained and
not easily reproduced test failures depending on autopkgtest backends. I
have just merged the current master into the gui_tests branch and now
there are some reproducible failures which most likely are related to
the removal of PDF support that happened in the meantime. I'll look into
adjusting the tests later when I have some free time off work.
