I've just tried, on an up-to-date rather clean Debian sid VM, to log
out from a GNOME session (both Wayland and X.Org) and in both cases
parcimonie-applet was not running anymore after logout.
Can you reproduce this in a regular GNOME session, or only in the
"flashback" one?
Now, as said on a couple related bug reports, my plan is to stop
(personally) maintaining the current applet, as soon as I've got
a working GNOME Shell extension. So, patches are welcome to fix
parcimonie-applet :)

Sadly, this is not available (anymore?): I see only "Entry not found".
Cheers,
